Elta MD! It's the best!

While on the subject of sunscreen, I thought I would share my favorite sunscreen with you all. It’s something I get asked about on a pretty regular basis by my patients, so I figure some of you may be curious about that too. Elta MD UV Elements Tinted Sunscreen has been my go to since the day I discovered it. It’s light and the most blendable zinc oxide and titanium dioxide formula I’ve tried (no geisha face for me!). I prefer and recommend sunscreens with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide because physical blockers reflect UVA and UVB rays and create a barrier on the skin. It’s great for preventing pesky sun spots and stubborn melasma from getting darker. They are also better for those with sensitive skin and are less likely to be the source of an allergic reaction. Sunscreens have come a long way since the days of red vet pet , the first sunscreen used during WWII that was a sticky red vaseline like substance. At the end of the day, the best sunscreen is just the one you ACTUALLY use. I would love to hear from you and your faves!
